What is it?
The Highland Games are a powerful and connective team building concept that brings out the true tribe feeling. Teams compete against each other in traditional, playful and sometimes tough challenges such as tree-trunk throwing, tug-of-war or slingshot shooting. Competitive, binding and always good for group dynamics, fun and team spirit.
How does this work?
Choose the formula that suits you
After a short briefing, you will imagine yourself to be real Scots – including kilts and typical attire. Then the tests start: physical strength, clever cooperation and a good dose of fun will determine who wins. All scores are recorded live and at the end there is the big denouement: which team will be crowned clan champion?
Best of all? You don’t have to provide anything. We bring all the materials, from the trials and scoreboards to the Scottish outfits.

Guidance
Highland Games with Sean Connery as facilitator
- Price: €35 per participant
- Minimum of 20 paying participants
- 9 assignments with a final for the winning team (approx. 5 people)

This activity is perfect to play on its own but is often chosen as part of our Team Challenge. Regardless of the formula chosen, Highland games remain an approachable way to have fun with colleagues or friends, by making balanced teams everyone can participate. The real Sean Connery is not here but our Teams Up monitors do bring the same charisma, humor and Scottish determination to guide your teams.

Experience the atmosphere of the Scottish highlands with our Highland Games. In small teams you will compete against each other in playful strength and agility tests such as tug-of-war, tree-trunk throwing and much more. After the sporting effort, relaxation follows: our mobile pizza or BBQ oven will arrive on site and provide a tasty finale. While the ovens are running at full speed and chat with a drink in hand, you will enjoy fresh pizza or grilled specialties and the teams can chat about their achievements.
Highland Games & Dining is the ideal combination of competition and conviviality: first giving everything in the game, then toasting and dining together.

Practical info
Authenticity of the games
We use original materials such as tree trunks, ropes and weights so that you experience a true Highland Games atmosphere, without compromising safety.
Weather dependence
Highland Games are ideal for outdoor play. In rainy weather we just play on – sturdy clothing and shoes are recommended. In case of storm or extreme weather conditions, we will look at an alternative together.
Clothing and shoes
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes that can take a beating. An extra set of clothes or rain gear can be useful in changeable weather.
Team spirit over strength
Although some of the trials look tough, the main focus is cooperation and fun. The tests are structured so that anyone can participate, regardless of strength or fitness.
Location Requirements
A grassy field or spacious outdoor location is ideal. We need enough free space to allow the games to proceed safely and give teams adequate freedom of movement.
Guidance and atmosphere
Our instructors not only provide professional guidance, but also bring the necessary humor and Scottish atmosphere to make the competition extra lively.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can play Highland games at a time?
We can deduplicate all assignments so we already have experience with groups of +100 people. Feel free to tell us your number and we will work together to find the perfect operation!
How many participants should we have at least?
For all activities coupled with catering (The BBQ Game, The Pizza Game, …) we apply a minimum of 15 paying participants, for all activities without catering we apply a minimum of 20 paying participants.
Is Highland Games dangerous?
No worries! For the tougher tasks, such as sawing wood, a supervisor is always on hand to oversee safe operations. Safety first!
What about participants who see less physical assignments?
Everyone can add value during the Highland Games. In addition to the physical challenges, we also provide trials for the Handy Harry’s and the solid thinkers on the team!

Ik had het genoegen om verschillende activiteiten van TeamsUp te mogen meemaken. De games die ze aanbieden zijn top, heel divers met denk- en doe-opdrachten en niet onbelangrijk: toegankelijk voor iedereen. De combinatie met eten vormt 2 vliegen in één klap. Een aanrader!

Super leuke ochtend gehad met mijn voetbalteam! Bubble voetbal werd op locatie naar keuze afgeleverd en tussendoor konden we ook nog een ander (beter) veldje uitzoeken als het nodig was.

Wij speelden het augmented reality escape spel. Fijn dat de aanpak op maat was: we konden persoonlijke vragen toevoegen en het start- en eindpunt konden we zelf kiezen. Het was een leuke manier om de stad (Huy) te zien. Wij waren met 18 en iedereen was heel enthousiast. Top idee! Ik zou het zeker aanraden.

Een activiteit met de Bubble-Balls gedaan voor een vrijgezellenfeest. Zeer leuke activiteit waarbij verschillende mogelijkheden zijn (voetbal, stapelen…). Niet duur en daarbij een goede en vriendelijke service.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst! Sander geeft tips en bespreekt leuke spelvormen. We hadden de bubbel balls en archery tags gehuurd voor leerlingen van het 4de tot 6de leerjaar. Het materiaal is zeer degelijk. Je krijgt pompen-kegels-verlengsnoer-... mee. De kids hebben énorm genoten van hun dag! Volgende keer huren we zeker weer bij Bounce It!!

Via Bounce-it een teambuilding activiteit geregeld voor onze onderzoeksgroep aan Universiteit Gent. De helft van onze groep was Engelstalig, maar dit was zeker geen probleem. Wij kozen voor de all-in deal, hetgeen ons praktisch de helft kostte van andere deals waarvoor we informeerden (die dan ook nog eens enkel archery tag en geen bubble soccer inhielden). Een geweldige activiteit om op terug te kijken.
