What is it?

Our unique museum quests let you discover a museum like never before. Armed with puzzles, riddles and hidden hints, teams make their way through the collection. Ideal for those who want to combine culture with fun, or for team builders who want more than a classic tour.

How does this work?

Choose the formula that suits you

Every group is different: some like to take charge of everything themselves, others prefer to be taken care of by our guides, and sometimes it may just be an all-in experience with game and culinary ending. That is why we offer the MuseumQuest in three formulas. So you can easily choose the approach that best suits your team, school or group of friends.

Would you like to experience a unique exploration in a museum with your group? This is possible with our MuseumQuest at the Africa Museum in Tervuren and the Autoworld Museum in Brussels.

  • Price: €30 per game (max. 5 players) + museum ticket per participant
  • Museums: AfricaMuseum (Tervuren) & Autoworld (Brussels)
  • Languages: EN – EN – FR
  • Materials: game box (Autoworld) or game envelope (AfricaMuseum) to be picked up at the front desk
  • Duration: relaxing exploration (not a race), self-timed. The game itself takes about 1h to 1h30.
  • Booking: book online, we notify the front desk staff so everything is ready to go
  • Target audience: smaller team builds, schools, groups of friends, families

MuseumQuest is not a classic museum visit, but an experience that combines games and culture. You get to know the collection in a new way while experiencing a fun activity with your group.

Guidance

MuseumQuest with guidance

Choose a worry-free start and leave the organization to supervisors: clear explanations, phased intake and smooth start-up.

  • Price: €35 p.p. (includes museum ticket)
  • Includes: reception at the entrance, brief briefing and start-up per team. Our guides will join you inside the museum after the start-up to ensure that everything is clear to each group
  • Phased start: for larger groups, we make sure that not everyone goes in at the same time. While the first teams leave, the others stay active outside with fun construction games that we provide
  • Duration: approx. 2h to 2h30 at your own pace, including the construction games at the start
  • Museums: AfricaMuseum (Tervuren) & Autoworld (Brussels)
  • Languages: EN – EN – FR

This formula is often chosen by larger groups and guarantees a smooth start, clear structure and less crowding in the museum.

Catering & counseling

MuseumQuest & Catering

Turn your museum visit into a complete program by combining the MuseumQuest with an enjoyable culinary finale.

  • Price: from €60 per participant (includes entrance ticket to the museum)
  • Location: catering can take place in the beautiful park of Tervuren or in the atmospheric Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels
  • Formulas: choose from our mobile pizza oven or an extensive BBQ formula
  • Duration: count on about 2 hours of fun at the museum, followed by a relaxing dinner of about an hour and a half
  • Progression: start as the accompanying formula; a relaxed culinary moment follows the game. While the oven or BBQ does its work, there is plenty of time to chat about the game, relax and enjoy freshly prepared food together
  • Languages: EN – EN – FR

AfricaMuseumQuest

The AfricaMuseumQuest is the very first museum escape room in Belgium and takes place in the permanent exhibition of the AfricaMuseum in Tervuren. It is an escape-like experience that gives your museum visit an extra dimension. Moreover, with your booking you get a discount on the entrance ticket, ask at the desk.

In teams, you will set out to free Banza and Nkulu from an ancient tormentor. Throughout the halls you will solve riddles and assignments and collect hints. Only those who solve all the challenges correctly will discover the answer and free them.

Availability & reservation

The MuseumQuest can be played any day the museum is open. Reservations can easily be made online and are necessary so that we can notify the front desk staff in time to have your game materials ready.

AutoWorld MuseumQuest

Excitement is in the air… In collaboration with Autoworld, we are launching a brand new escape game in the heart of the museum. Surrounded by iconic and historic cars, you and your team will search for a missing technology, a crucial part of our newest racing car. The clock is ticking, the tension is rising… will you succeed in unraveling the mystery?

Group size & flexibility

Each game box or envelope can accommodate 5 participants. For larger groups you can book multiple sets. Thanks to the phased start (with fun waiting activities), we avoid teams getting in each other’s way in the museum.

Frequently Asked Questions

What languages can you play in?

The MuseumQuests are available in Dutch, French and English. When booking, simply choose the desired language version. With your receipt, you can then pick up the game package at the counter.



Can we change the number of participants in advance or on the spot?

The number of participants during the MuseumQuest is the same, we do have a minimum and maximum number per session for an optimal gaming experience, but in between, you are free to decide how many you come along for our unique MuseumQuests!

What is the minimum age to participate in the MuseumQuests?

Children can participate in the MuseumQuests accompanied by an adult. From the age of 16 onwards, they can be played independently. Each riddle also comes with a hint (optional) to ensure smooth gameplay.

Should we prepare to play MuseumQuests?

No, no preparation is required. Upon arrival, you will receive a game packet with explanations and you can start.

Do we also have to pay admission to the museums?

Museum admission is not woven into the price for the MuseumQuest, so you are still paying admission to the museum. Cost of admission is determined by the museum itself. Some museums do offer a discount on the admission ticket in combination with a MuseumQuest.

How many people can play a MuseumQuest ?

Depending on which MuseumQuest you want to play, we have a minimum and maximum number of participants per session for an optimal gaming experience. The info of the MuseumQuest of your choice can be found in the general info of the MuseumQuest!

Is it possible to cancel my booking for the MuseumQuest?

Once you have placed/paid for a booking it is not possible to cancel it. A time slot is reserved for you and removed from the possibility for any other participants.
