Practical info

Number of participants

At The Pizza Game, there is a minimum of 15 paying participants. Are there fewer of you? That’s perfectly fine, but we always charge the rate of 15 participants. For large groups we can come with multiple pizza ovens so we can handle teambuildings of +100 participants without any problem.

Facilities

We will bring standing tables to eat at, cardboard plates, napkins and glasses. In case of bad weather we bring a tent under which we can bake and under which certain activities (such as fire making) can continue, on request we can also bring a large tent so that the participants can stay dry.

Location Requirements

This can take place at any location that is accessible by trailer. However, we do ideally have an open space available for the activities. In the summer we like to play outdoors but the activities can also take place indoors! Ask for a brochure of our regular partner venues for inspiration if you don’t have your own.

Additional info

The Pizza Game is one of the toppers within our guided offerings. It combines game and food into one gamified total concept at a fixed price of €60 p.p. Teams on budget may bring their own drinks, in which case €5 p.p. will be deducted from the offer. Teams with a bit more budget or time, can opt for a comfort formula (extra pizzas and/or extra drinks).

Good question!

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is The Pizza Game?

The Pizza Game is a unique team-building concept where an activity and culinary experience are partially intertwined. It works like this: teams are given playful tasks to complete – think puzzle solving, creative challenges, physical tasks and collaborative games. For example, the bases for the pizza must be unlocked by the participants. Another task is to make fire as fast as possible in team because without fire no oven and without over no pizza. After about 1.5 hours of play (including a break) we move on to the real work: with the earned ingredients we make your pizzas. Our guides will prepare the pizza to your taste and within 5-7 minutes your well-deserved pizza will come out of the wood-fired oven glowing hot. Then it’s time to enjoy and feast together. The total concept takes 2.5 to 3 hours and combines teamwork, fun, competition and a delicious meal – that’s why we call it “the team building that sticks AND tastes!”

How much does The Pizza Game cost?

The Pizza Game costs €60 per person for the all-in formula. This is a total price that includes everything: the complete game activity with game box and assignments, professional guidance by experienced animators, all necessary materials, the mobile wood oven, all pizza ingredients (fresh and quality), the bases, sauces, different kinds of toppings (meat, vegetarian, vegan possible), setup and breakdown, and of course the complete pizza meal. You literally don’t need anything extra – even disposable plates and napkins we can provide. The cutlery? That’s up to you, you have two each ;-). For larger groups (60+) or special requests, we can provide custom catering. The price may seem higher than standard catering, but remember that here you get a complete 3-hour activity including entertainment, not just food. Compared to “activity + then separate restaurant” this is often cheaper and more fun!

For how many people is The Pizza Game suitable?

The Pizza Game works great for groups of 15 to 100+ people. The ideal number is between 20 and 60 participants – then you have enough teams (4-6 teams) for good competition, but it stays manageable. At 15-20 people, we work with 3-4 small teams, which is very cozy and intimate. For larger groups over 60, we can use multiple pizza ovens and provide extra supervision. We have already done events with 100+ people by setting up simultaneous game boxes where teams alternate. Under 15 people, The Pizza Game is less interesting in terms of dynamics and price-quality – then we recommend other activities. The best teambuildings are seen with groups around 30-40 people: big enough for real team dynamics, small enough to stay personal!

What if people eat vegetarian food or have allergies?

No problem! The Pizza Game is very flexible in terms of dietary requirements. When you book, we always ask about vegetarians, vegans and allergies. We then provide: vegetarian options such as extra vegetables and different cheeses-our vegetarian pizzas are at least as tasty as the versions with meat! For vegans, we have plant-based cheese and plenty of vegetables. For allergies such as gluten intolerance, we can provide gluten-free dough (at no extra charge, please notify in advance). Lactose intolerance can be solved with lactose-free cheese or pizzas without cheese but with additional toppings. We always ask in the quotation, “Are there any dietary requirements?” Please let us know at least 1 week before the event so we can source the appropriate ingredients. We take this very seriously – no one should be on the sidelines at The Pizza Game!

How much space do we need for The Pizza Game?

For The Pizza Game, you need relatively little space compared to physical activities such as Bumperball. Ideally, you need 100m² in total, divided into three zones: (1) Game zone (20-30m²) where teams do tasks, (2) Pizza-making zone (30-50m²) around the wood oven where we make your pizzas and (3) Dining zone (50-70m²) with standing tables to eat together afterwards. This can be inside (large hall, shed, tent) or outside (garden, terrace, parking in good weather). The oven itself is mobile and takes up about 2×3 meters. We adapt to your situation: a narrower but longer space can also work perfectly. Important is that there is good accessibility for our trailer to unload material and we are in a private space or a space where we have permission. In doubt about your space? Send us pictures or a floor plan!

Can The Pizza Game be done in the winter or during bad weather?

Absolutely! The Pizza Game is one of our most versatile activities because it is excellent indoors. The pizza oven is of course always outdoor but we bring a special tent under which our oven and our baker can stand safe and dry. Many companies organize The Pizza Game in their own warehouse, warehouse, parking lot, large meeting room (for eating) or rented party room. In winter it is even extra cozy: the smell of fresh pizza, together inside while it is cold outside – that creates a special atmosphere! In case of bad weather outdoors, we can often switch last-minute to an indoor location for the tasks, again we can bring extra tents if needed. The Pizza Game is truly an all-weather activity.

How long does The Pizza Game last?

The Pizza Game lasts 3 hours in total and follows a set timeline:

1h before start: Teams Up arrives with camionette, trailer, ovens and all game equipment

Minute 0: Brief explanation by our coaches + teams are assigned

Minute 10-45: Part 1 of activities – teams play to earn pizza bases

Minute 45-60: Short break with 2 apéro drinks per person

Minutes 60-90: Part 2 of the activities – teams compete to make fire for the oven

Minute 90-120: Our supervisors light the oven and top the pizzas

Minute 120-180: Pizzas roll out of the wood-fired oven, everyone enjoys their well-deserved meal

The game portion takes about 1.5 hours, followed by 1 hour of enjoying fresh pizza. Perfect to fill an afternoon or evening!
