Good question!
Frequently asked team building questions
Can we organize a team building on our own premises?
Absolutely. Most of our guided and catered activities just come to you. We just need some outdoor space like a parking lot, a grassy field or even a large indoor space like a corporate hall or gymnasium. For activities like Bumperball or Highland Games, a grass field is ideal, but Laser Shooting and especially our Outdoor Escape Games can be done anywhere.
The advantage of having your own site is that people don’t have to travel, which is especially convenient for larger groups. Plus, you create a familiar environment where colleagues are more likely to feel at ease.
Don’t have a suitable space? Then we can also suggest one of our partner locations or help you rent a site through your municipality. This is often the cheapest solution.
How far in advance should I book a team building?
For our rental formula (Bumper Ball, Laser Shoot, Archery Tag), you can often go the same week if there is availability. Just check online or give us a call.
For guided activities and especially for activities with catering such as The Pizza Game or The BBQ Game, we recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance. Especially in the spring and summer months, weekends and Wednesday afternoons are quickly fully booked.
Do you need something urgently? Contact us anytime, sometimes we can still shift or suggest an alternative date.
What is the difference between a team building with and without catering?
A team building without catering consists purely of game activities. This works well for short sessions of 1.5 to 2 hours, or when you have already arranged something yourself for afterwards. Perfect for athletic groups who will eat somewhere after the activity itself.
A team building with catering is a total experience where the food becomes part of the activity itself. At The Pizza Game, for example, teams play to earn ingredients and fire, then enjoy freshly baked pizza together from our mobile wood oven. The food moment then becomes not just a break, but the highlight of the day.
For companies that want to fill an entire afternoon or evening without having to find locations for food themselves, catering is the ideal solution. Everything happens in one location and you only have one point of contact.
Where in Flanders are you active with teambuildings?
Teams Up operates throughout Flanders. We have strategic pick-up points in Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen and Bruges, among others, for our rental formula. For guided activities and activities with catering, we come to wherever you have or can arrange a location.
Whether you want to organize a team building in Leuven, Hasselt, Aalst, Kortrijk or a small town somewhere in between, we are happy to drive to you. Transportation from Zwijndrecht costs €1 per kilometer driven for rental equipment, and for guided formulas we include this in the quote.
How long does an average team building last?
Most teambuildings last between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the activities chosen and whether catering is included. A standard afternoon program without food usually lasts an hour and a half to 2 hours. If you add catering as with The Pizza Game or The BBQ Game, it’s best to plan for 3 hours total.
For companies that want to organize a full team day, we often combine several activities. For example an Outdoor Escape Game in the morning, The Pizza Game for lunch and afterwards Bumperball or Highland Games. This way you can easily fill a day from 9 am to 5 pm.
How much does team building cost on average per person?
The price of a team building in Belgium varies greatly, from €10 per person for simple game equipment rental to €250 per person for luxury experiences with remote locations and expensive catering.
At Teams Up, we offer three formulas:
- Rental from €10 per person: you pick up the equipment at one of our pick-up points in Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen or Bruges and arrange the activity yourself.
- Accompaniment from €25 per person: we will come to you with facilitators who will fully take care of the activity.
- Escort with catering from €60 per person: a complete team building including food. This is our most popular formula for companies that want to do something fun without spending a fortune.
The average team building in Flanders costs between €80 and €150 per person. So our formula with catering for €60 offers excellent value for money.
What is a team building and why do companies organize it?
A team building is an activity where colleagues work together in an informal way, get to know each other better and strengthen the team spirit. Companies in Flanders organize teambuildings to improve communication, integrate new employees, bring departments closer together or simply to reward hard work with a fun day.
At Teams Up, we find that the best team builds happen when people need to accomplish something together without feeling like they’re on a mandatory company outing. That’s why we combine active game activities with moments of relaxation, such as a shared meal they earn during the game.
